You can also find information regarding Amatuer Radio licensing on the ARRL site. Once you have a technician license you have access to frequencies others dont. An example of this 3.5 ghz where there is almost no activity, this means less interference and better signal quality. Oh, and there is no morse code to learn like I had to.
