Antenna Tracker with MissionPlanner/Arduino

Hi,

I'm kind of new to UAVs, so sorry if I make some stupid questions. Looking for a cheaper way for an antenna tracker, I found some interesting info on DIY Drones, but still do not understand some details.

Moving the trims in MP, the servos connected to an Arduino Uno actually move, but only the strings for pan and tilt are transmitted via the serial connection. I thought that maybe when connecting MP to the Arduino all the other parameters (angle, PWM Range, center PWM, speed and acceleration) are transmitted once to the Arduino, but this is not the case. In the MP source code it seems like an future option.

Has anyone experience with this or got to the point of transmitting those parameters?

Another question is related to the GPS coordinate MP is using to calculate pan and tilt for the tracker. Is the reference coordinate the done position at launch? Is it possible to use a laptop internal GPS as source? Would be great to receive some information!!!

Cheers,

Peter
