APM 2.0 boot problems

Hallo.  Can anyone help me?

I powered up a new APM2 board today and the board does not boot.  Whenever I reboot the board it immediately goes into a state where it alternates between flashing the yellow (B) LED and the red and blue (C and A) LEDs.  Red and blue flashes together.  I cannot connect to the board via the USB cable or though the wireless link.

I can get limited connectivity through the terminal window.  The Tx light comes on briefly and then stops before the board goes into the above-mentioned state.  There then appears a status message in the command window.  From this I can do status checking on all the sensors, the dataflash and the PWM signals.

I have tried to reset the board via the command window, but I cannot get into setup.  I have also replaced the flash card with that of another APM board, but that did not work either.

I could only get an unassembled version, so I had to solder the connector pins and the GPS board connector pins myself.  I checked for connection continuity between the GPS board and the motherboard and all looks OK.

Thanks.

Hi Francois, I also have a board that came unassembled and when I connected it the first time in it's bare state it seemed to connect fine and the HUD showed attitude changes, after soldering on the headers it now no longer connects. I can solder pretty well and have gone over all the solder joints carefully with a magnifying heatset and nothing is wrong. So I cannot be sure what caused it to no longer connect, but DIYD suggested to send it back. (http://diydrones.com/xn/detail/705844:Comment:1095305)

I can load ArduCopter and ArduPlane firmware and do all the CLI tests except the INS test whereupon the board hangs. It also won't boot and only the c (blue) led comes on.
