APM 2.0 - Unsolicited mode change when in Auto

Hello APM folks,

I’m really stuck on this one and have searched the forums for ideas but I’m not getting very far.

I’ve had my Bixler 2 flying well in Auto mode, generally it does a great job at hitting the waypoints.

However we set up a mission of 4 points and on the way to #1 half way down the track unprompted it changed modes from Auto to Stabilize for a brief second, and then Manual.

Luckily we realised something wasn’t right and put it back into RTL mode. I can replay the mission and I’ve run some graphs but I cant see anything obvious.

The mode input never changes and the throttle input doesn’t drop into the 920 range to trigger the fail safe. The flight wasn’t that far away so I’m sure the fail safe didn’t kick in – if it did how could I tell from the TLOG?

Unfortunately I wasn’t recording many params on the APM itself but the 3DR link was in range so I am hoping the clue is in the Tlog file somewhere.

The moment the mode change occurs is; 13:42:25 I’ve attached the TLOG in case anyone could kindly point me in the right direction.

    @James,

    Could you possibly have had a momentary brown-out? How are you powering the APM and your servos? Do you have separate power sources for the APM and the servos?

    Regards,
