APM 2.5 dose nothing but lights up the LED's

I have been working on building a tri copter for some time now and finally have all the parts in.

I had everything working good with no RC TX, (just going through the telm). 

After I hooked up my spectrum ar8000 with its own power hooked up I can't geting the APM 2.5 to do anything other then the LED's A,B,C  RX, TX and Alive are on solid no flashing and I am unable to connect to MP.

I have been looking though the site for clues to what might be wrong but can not come to a conclusion. I am thinking may a blow fuse or a diode. 

Any help trouble shooting would be greatly appreciated

    Did you run the MP installation program that loads the drivers? APM won't do anything until you load the ArduCopter code on it via the MP.
