Hey all!Having some trouble updating my APM 2.5 to the latest firmware through the Mac version of APM Planner 2.0 for Mac. I run into two messages when I try to update:1) If I connect to the APM BEFORE selecting the initial setup and try to upgrade, I get a "cannot connect" error.2) If the initial connection to the APM is established through the initial setup menus, I receive a "cannot access bootloader" error.I am not sure if they're related, but I am unable to configure anything through the APM planner at all. This includes all calibration (motor, radio, compass, etc) and mode settings to my tx. I have, however, been able make those appropriate changes through the CLI without any issue.Has anyone seen this issue or direct me to how to upgrade my APM 2.5 manually?

Please file APM Planner issue reports here

You can always use Mission Planner to handle all of this (it's rock solid), either dual-booting Windows on a Mac (that's what I do) or running it under a VM

    • Yup! That did it! Thanks!

Glad to hear it. Also please note that there is a new version of APM Planner 2 on the Mac that fixes a bug with firmware loading on APM. You might want to upgrade to that and try again.

        • Oh wow! As of yesterday, in fact. I'll try to give it a go tomorrow and let you know.

I quickly tested out my quad's Stabilize mode and it looks like the engines now run at 0 throttle. I recalibrated my radio, but ended up with the same result. Is there any settings you can think of that may have been overriden that I'm missing between 3.0.1 and the latest version?
          • Quick update: Looks like the problem persists with the firmware upgrade on the newest version of APM Planner 2 :(

            Calibrate your ESCs?

            • I was actually thinking the same thing :P

My quad is out of commission after a spectacular crash, so I'm taking the time to tweak the software.

Speaking of which, I have some questions about the PX4. Would you mind too terribly if I PMed you?
