APM 2.5+ is not connecting in APM planner in windows 7 -"no heartbeats recived" error

hi,

i tried to connect my new APM 2.5 with APM planner 1.2.33 without loading the firmware(i need Arducopter 2.9). i correctly selected baud rate and COM port but its showing time out and says "No HEART BEATS PACKETS RECEIVED". I tried to downgrade to lower versions of APM planner 1.2 still the error persists.

i saw here that a lot of guys are getting this error while mission planner 1.2.0 was  released.At that time they tried to downgrade to MAV .9 and it solved the problem.

Can any one pls help me to solve it?

    Check the com port with something like Hterm. If data is coming in, you are missing correct MP or AC version. If not, then you are missing comm drivers, baud or correct port.
