APM 2.5 power module

Hi all have just purchased the power module for my APM 2.5

removed the jp1 for power option through esc. how it was previously powered.

Just a quick question.

Can i connect the apm via usb with the lipo plugged in ?

so i can see in mission planner power levels in the lipo etc. mainly for field setup.

Thanks for any advice

Still new to the APM.

  • I'm using APM2.5 and had what I think was a brownout with my quadcopter. My setup is similar to yours. I'm using 3300 4S and the last recorded voltage on the tlog was 14.3. I have minimosd and xbee900mhz, ublox and ezuhf that are powered by the power module. Can the power module handle that if voltage drops to 14 volts?

What do I look for i the log that would show a reset of the APM?

Make sure to remove or secure the props.
When you attach the USB, the APM will reboot, and with the lipo attached, you may get props spin up uncoordinated. Keep clear and make sure it's tied down, or remove the props.
