APM 2.6 is not arming

Few weeks earlier APM was arming but if i increase the throttle stick more than 50% the quad stops working and the red &blue LED are ON.

So i installed a new firmware from the wizard "Mission Planner" and after that i'm having a problem with APM 2.6, the GPS is showing me in the middle of pacific ocean, the APM is not Arming and if it does two motors won't work an two will spin at low speed.

  • What version of the firmware did you install?

There seem to be a couple of issues, none relating to each other

    1. Throttle cut of beyond 50% <= sound like either a mixing issue or a setting on your radio's throttle channel. Check the settings of all the channels on your radio and perhaps, to test, create a new, clean model on your radio and test your setup with that. You might need to rebind your RX to the TX and you will have to perform a radio calibration before testing.

    2. GPS showing you in the middle of the ocean <= Are you powering the unit outdoors? GPS can always get a lock-on indoors. Have you re-calibrated the compass?

    3. APM Not arming <= Reloading a firmware does not reset previous values. Do a hard reset on the APM. Not the reset by pusing the reset button. Proper hard reset via software to wipe all previous configuration settings and start over.

    4. Not all motors spinning at low speed <= Have you re-calibrated your ESCs.

After the Hard reset, you need to do the complete APM setup from scratch and that way you wil be able to make sure all the settings are fresh and properly connected.

    • I have done a Hard-reset for APM  & Re-calibration for the ESCs as you said, and the quad is working.

      Thanks Johann.
