APM 2.6 XPlane 10 connectivity issues

Hello,

What I am trying to accomplish: HWIL of a Bixler model with APM 2.6 board and Xplane on a single computer.

Issue: XPlane and APM don't communicate with each other. I can send signals through the transmitter. It is received by APM. However, XPlane does not receive it. I also tried multiple computers (connected via ethernet), it still did not communicate.

Things I have done: http://plane.ardupilot.com/wiki/xplane-3/ Followed all the steps here. Port numbers are right, and IP address is set to 127.0.0.0

http://www.diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/hilstar17-public-release This is the model I use in XPlane.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__16238__hobbyking_hk6s_2_4ghz_fhss_6ch_tx_rx_mode_1_.html This is the transmitter I am using.

When I move the APM, the Mission Planner registers the movements, but XPlane is not affected.

I have tried it with two laptops and a desktop with the same issue. The airplane is in a phugoid mode in XPlane (pitching slowly up and down).

I tried different flight modes, but to no avail.
Any help?

  • Any help here? Do you need more specifics?

I do not get any errors. When I move the APM, it is reflected in Mission Planner. When I move the radio controls, it is reflected in the APM. However, none of that is reflected in Xplane. So, I am concluding that Xplane and Mission Planner are not communicating with each other.

Has anyone had this issue before?
