I just downloaded successfully to my Ardupilot 2.6 following first time setup guide.  This using Win7 running on Mac/Bootcamp.  No problems with the drivers for communication, but just wondering.

On a Mac you always "eject" the USB device prior to unplugging it.  So looked for something similar for the "Arduino Mega 2560", but nothing similar.  So I disconnected in MP, shutdown windows.  LEDs on the APM no longer blinking, at which point I disconnected the USB cable.

So, what is the normal procedure?  After hitting disconnect in MP, can you just disconnect the USB cable?

:-) Silly question but being more Mac-centric, want to get this right.  Happy too no problems encountered with the Win7 running on the Mac and communicating with the APM2.6.

Thanks!

Nelson

  • It's not too important. You don't even have to disconnect in MP; it does nothing to the APM.
