APM - Elevator and rudder appear to be mixed up!

Hi guys, i've just been running through some initial tests before heading out for my new quadcopter's first flight and i seem to have a channel mix up problem.

In the radio calibration page of MP everything is as it should be .... the left stick controls yaw and throttle, and right stick controls roll and pitch. However, when i hold the copter in my hand and run the motors and props up to make sure everything is pulling and correcting as it should be, it would seem that my left stick, left and right stick movements, are actually controlling pitch (forward and aft movement), and the right stick (forward and back stick movements) are controlling yaw.

This seems very strange.

Initially i thought, ok, i'll just swap the rudder and elevator leads from the Rx to the APM. But this is a workaround which may have some unforeseen consequences. Plus it complicates things when tuning PIDs as the yaw dials would then be controlling pitch controls as so on.

Any ideas why i may be experiencing this an what the corrective action is?

Thanks

Jake

Are you trying to fly an X as  + or a + as an X? If you see what I mean have you got the correct frame orientation setup?
