Hello,
I have APM1 and I wanted to upload ArduCopter V2.5.5 Quad. No luck. I have got followind message:
1) Epprom changed, all you setting will be lost during the update, Do you wish to continue? Yes
2) Firmware is to big for a 1280, Please upgrade!! OK
I don't know how to solve this. Can some one give answer please?

You can make it fit using Arduino.
Be sure to download the relax patch version of arduino and do NOT let it update (updating removes the relax patch)
you must add the arduplane libraries to that arduino libraries folder (basically follow the directions exactly)
The only way is to use Arduino to compile from source code and flash, This is the problem with the 1280, it doesn't have enough space to fit the current code and that's why it's no longer made and more or less obsolete.
