APM Mission Planner 2 crashing after 2.0.15 update...

since updating to version 2.0.15 i have troubles with the soft when entering in the RC calibration item.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the soft different times, and finally instaled de jit debugger.

Debugger gave me this reply after crashing :

apmplanner2.exe caused an Access Violation at location 006FD1A7 in module apmplanner2.exe Reading from location 00000008.

  • Hmmm...I have 1.3.10 MP. Where is 2.x.x? Am I missing something? 1.3.10 is the last stable one for me. The rest are a mystery!

  • Developer

It seems with the fact we have near 420 parameters that are downloaded, we have a new race condition where can reference a parameter before it has been downloaded. I have fix for this now.

The simple workaround for 2.0.15 is to make sure all parameters have download. See bottom left corner for download progress of parameters. It's currently 417 but the max number is displayed also.

    • Hello,

Indeed, when doing a refresh in the full parameter list, making sure all parameters are read, i can run rc calibration without any problems.  Thanks for the fast answer.

Well Done, keep up the good work...

  • Nicholas,

Thanks for the stack trace from the debugger, that should help in figuring this out. In the meantime, older versions are available for download here: http://firmware.diydrones.com/Tools/APMPlanner/
