APM planner bug or board problem?

Hey guy,

just uploaded 2.0.37 but now in terminal when i go to test pwm or sonar or anything at that nothing is a live feed, it only just gives one line and prompts again. previously i know it would just give a live feed. is my board faulty or bug in software?

only recent also, on a cold boot and arm, all the motors would start automatically while throttle is at 0. would this problem be connected to the mentioned above?

cheers.

  • ok so i havent tried arduino yet, dont know how to use it. but update mission planner and now i am getting live readings in terminal eg. sonar or pwm which is GOOD news, HOWEVER, now the red light on board is off and gps module is fading and blinking in an unusual way. also, i still get no arm and have tried all four corners of throttle stick just in case something inverted. any help guys?

Paul, it's not the mux chip. Mux chip is on red board and it only affects on output signals. It sounds more like you corrupted upload. Have you tried to upload softwares again to it?

APM board wither works or not work at all. So getting out some readable information from it means that it works but there is something else weird going on with your board.

I would suggest to try that Arduino upload first.

  • Before I attempt arduimo, I found a previous discussion regards MUX on the board. I wonder if that is also the case with this fault? Where can I find the MUX and will I be able to visually see a problem on the board? Gees I hope that this board isn't as sensitive as the ar drone.... Had to return my ar for warranty several times due to various failures. More annoying than fun. So any one have similar problem or ideas behind this MUX ?
  • Ok I will try and get back to you. Thanks.

Try to connect with Arduino. It's very simple and well documented at Ardiuno.cc

  • ok, it might seem like there is something wrong with my board (i think). ive tried now to first time setup and at "erasing EEPROM'' it seems to have frozen. twice now. anyone know if this is a board problem and if so why?
