As long as you don't go above 90Amp the magic blue smoke should stay inside.
I've read forum posts stating that clone power modules releases their magic blue smoke well before hitting 90Amp. So be just be careful.
I don't know what kind of setup you run so I cannot really comment or your case. I have not gone 6S on my bird since I have the normal PM as well and my motor / prop combo will draw 87A which is too close for comfort so I'll stay on 4S to prevent me from crying
