APM with Locosys 20031 GPS

I currently have a locosys 20031 gps. How do I connect to my APM board ? Is it through the gps port found on the APM? However the gps can only take in maximum 3.3v input voltage.

Or can I use the daughterboard stated in http://diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/new-board-to-allow-use-of-5hz to connect in between APM and gps?

Can I regulate the 5v output from APM to 3.3volt then connect to the locosys gps?

We don't support that module, I'm afraid. We recommend the MediaTek instead
