APM2.0 3Dfix but no lock

Hi Everyone,

Just having a bit of trouble trying to get the APM2.0 to get a lock onto the GPS and was just wondering if anyone could lend some advise. I'm using an APM2.0 with GPS inbuilt and latest Ardupilot installed through MP.

It boots up normally with calibration sequence, the gps 3Dfix is flashing like expected. After a few mins while i'm observing the telemetry through MP, the 3Dfix goes solid.

In MP, it still says no lock, i use the console to test the gps and get G!G!G!G!.G!G!G!G! , Testing the rawgps returns nothing. I've left it for a long time to see if it will find any satellites but it never indicates that it gets a single satellite.

All other aspects test fine, airspeed component, magnometers, compass. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i could do or be looking for?

Thanks in advance.

3DR have been awesome with their support. They have diagnosed the issue was with the GPS board and have repaired it. Took a bit due to time differences of countries but have to say a big thanks to the team for resolving this. I'm looking foward to running with the APM2.

I've tried redoing the soldering, re-applying the ardupilot software, checking the firmware where i can but the link info is not showing any satellites being detected despite the 3DFix being solid blue. At a complete loss on what to do next.

    Are you inside or outside?

Have you left the unit in clear view of the sky for at least 15 minutes??
