My dataflash wasn't working so I replaced the memory chip. Still didn't work so it must be the socket. I asked about functionality without dataflash and got this reply.

Thank you for contacting 3D Robotics Customer Support.
With out data flash, the board will not be possible to work. I was told by our technical department that the Atmel 45db321 chip with part # AT45DB321D-MU, can be purchased on digikey.com or mouser.com.

This is terrible to hear.
If you are totally done (and very disappointed no doubt), would you consider a salvage sale if I pay shipping?
I've been looking for a dead APM2 or 2.X to put under a microscope to help educate the community.
Who knows? I might find a cure. If not, the body will benefit science.
