I have been flying quad out side in really cold whether lately but it seems to handle it pretty good. Recently i bought a New GPS and magnetometer to make my quad much more stable. Anyway after i got my gps i realize that the GPS is neo-6m and i need to do some editing on source to get it running properly. I did my research and finally i started to compile the code using ardino for the first time and i started uploading. Took about half a min and it came up as upload done with few errors. So i thought nothing harmful and i rebooted the APM, no red or blue led are turning on.
Okay, now i thought i might have broke the code and it just need to reflash using Mission Planner. Well that failed too with no communication error. Then i thought i need to re flash the boot loader. I found isp pin and i plug that into my programmer, that failed too. Now i was bit confused and there is no rx tx lighting up too.
Then i thought, i might have to clean the board and try again since when i bring the quad into the house water get condensed on the unit so I took one of my perfume bottles and start spraying at the board knowing that perfume has alcohol in it and it will help me to clean the board(living in a college house so dont have much tool available). Wala that worked, i was able to re flash the board with the new update firmware. I kept my finger crossed and connected it to my mission planer. Then mission planer started to yell at me gyro health is bad. errrrrr. I was at this point frustrated.
I took a sharp screw driver, tryed cleaning around the MPU-6050 and something cause APM to go into a mood and it flashes a red led like 3 times and goes off. NO communication whats so ever.
Does anyone know what red led flashes means? Should I hot gun MPU and resolder it? I dont have money to buy a new one and i really need help.
I was thinking of getting a membership at near by Maker space so that i can use a hot air gun.

Well fixed it. My MPU is working. My 3.3v regulator is blown so new firmware wont work it
Do you still have the old regulator that you removed?
I think so why?
