APM2 integration with a Trex-600E

APM2 integration with a Trex-600E. As of right now I am running everything through the AerosimRC simulator before I strap it on the 600. I have played around with the plane setting a found good results. Now I am trying to get the same results in heli mode. My main problem right now is my throttle and or collective pitch has very small movements. I am using a Futaba 8fg radio with my model type set as helicopter and swash type is set as H-1. Cyclic throws and rudder throws seem okay.

Is there someone out there that has a helicopter param file I could use for a 600 size heli?

Below is my param file.

  • Lefebvre you have been such a huge help! I have one more thing to pick your brain on. I am having a problem with the helicopter trying to get to each way point as fast as possible. It's almost like the helicopter will sacrifice altitude for airspeed. I have tried changing max Tilt down to 5 and Pitch max all the way down to 15 just just for testing but I am not seeing any changes in flight characteristics.

  • I don't see anything immediately wrong.  Are you sure you're testing in "stabilize" mode?  If you're in an automatic mode, you won't have much direct swash control.

H_Col_Max, Min and Mid are very important.  You still have defaults here, which should be fine to get started.

Make sure that you are sending full collective pitch travel from the radio.  You shouldn't have any mixing going on.

I just noticed one thing, your RC_3 Trim value indicates that you didn't have the throttle stick centered when you did the center calibration.  That may be your issue.  Redo the radio calibration and make sure you center the throttle stick when it asks you to.
