I received my nw APM2, connected everything as described and loaded the code in MP. (2.5.3)
I did the setup through MP, calibrating TX, leveling, ....
Did arming test in MP and all goes well. LED A stays on and led C blinks. All OK!!!!
Disconnecting from the MP I connect the battery, ESC start beeping and APM is on, only it doesn't start with the flashing 3leds. Only the blue led C stays on after a couple of seconds.
Did I forget something?

Now I have flashed several times different firmware versions, and also tested the GPS again in a field. I still get no gps fix, and now the rx/tx-leds blink continuously and it is locking directly after the "Init gyro". Even if I run the board only on the battery, the blinking rx/tx-led.
I've reloaded the code, samething.
I split the power supply so that apm gets power from seperate supply. So hooked it up with usb and teh outputs standard with the ESC.
Same thing, until I connected with MP. Then it booted up???
So redid everything as previous, placed jumper and connected battery.
No go. Then I did a reset of the APMwith the switch and presto, it booted.
Is there something wrong with the code??
Its not very ideal to do a reset after battery connection with props and all........
