So I know that you can have automatic take off and landings with Quads using Mega, but what about planes?

Auto Take-off is in the Mega code but is untested at this time. The current code is appropriate for hand launch. Future improvements will make it appropriate for rolling take-offs as well.

Yes, just as you can with basic ArduPilot.
