I would like to start a thread for Ardupilot Mega (Quadcopter) and Arducopter boards.
For now i am using a Mikrokopter frame.
I will be developing a full fledged Quad and a fixed wing with complete navigation and stuff.
I would like to invite you to keep an eye on this thread ... when i have sufficient info and topics covered for each of the boards and airframes i may close this thread and start specific threads ... so until then i risk some confusion on which topic is being discussed.
I am trying to get the mega to fly with the mikro and have hover (reasonable) ...not yet got the full hang of the PID tuning and need to get a few more sensors integrated.
I hope this thread will be useful to others as much as i would like it to assist me !

1. How do you get Magnetometer offset values - exact procedure ?
2. Please have a look at the image of my maggy installation and suggest a APM_compass orientation !
3. Does anybody have the DIP switch settings ( also pointed in the image)
