Hi all,
I had the idea to try and make a quadrocopter to film some motorbike touring. Is there a way to get the copter to follow a target, either by GPS or some other way, is this possible? I have seen some videos of this being done but none with enough information to do it.
Would a quadrocopter be the best thing for stability (for filming) and speed or would a plane be better?
Thanks

Is it possible to keep most of the processing on the UAV itself to try and minimise the amount of things carried on the ground (motorbike riding tends to destroy anything electrical, or shake it to pieces). Sorry if I am asking too much I am only a novice at all of this and wanted to know the possibilities before making something.
Yes, that's not hard. We've already got point-of-interest camera tracking built in as well as loiter. You just need your GCS to know your own GPS position and run a script to send that to ArduCopter. We're planning to release a little box that does this automatically, but in the meantime you can do it yourself with an ArduStation or the like.
