Arducopter IMU/APM cabling

Guys,

I am having a issue with something an may be I have misread the setup at http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/AC2_Radio but I opted to make a cable like the Jdrones one for connection. Do I still need to connect the +/- also even with this cable from receiver to apm? something is not working right. The short cables since they aren't JR type sent from DYI wont fit in the spektrum 6210 receiver.

    Hi Craig,

     

    I think I understand, you should have a cable like this Radio cable & this Power cable going from the APM to the RX, the power cable is needed to power the RX or it will not work, and the radio cable is needed for the TX-RX-APM signal.

     

    These cables are supplied as part of the standard Arducopter kit, if we are talking about the 3DR kit I'm not sure what is used in the full kit, as I can't keep them in stock long enough to build one.......

     

    If I have not understood you correctly please explain a little more.
