My apologies if at any point I sound completely inexperienced (and I have searched and searched AND searched for an answer but have not found one) but is it all possible for completely autonomous flight with APM or other flight controller? Meaning arming, programming waypoints, launch, mission, landing, etcetera without a TX? I understand the dangers of no "human in the loop" but I am interested in the possibility of it from a thought/mental perspective. Any insights you have feel free to send my way. I'd like to understand the challenges of non TX/RX autonomous flight. If anyone has built tested or flown would love to hear the stories of success and failure. Thanks for your time,Brandon

Well Brandon, from what I know FULLY autonomous flight is a given with most of the top flight controllers, (APM 2.5, 2.6 etc.)
However, you mentioned not even using a TX so I don't know how you would turn on the copter's motors. Most use a CRC command from the TX in order to start them although there may be a way to self-start in Mission Planner? Hope this helps.
Many thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've dug around in Mission planner and a little on APM planner but can't seem to find the special button that allows a user to remove the TX. Oh well, I have a feeling the more I dig I'll be able to find it.
