Ardu-IMU Servo pins?

This is really just a simple question of documentation, but what pins are the "SERVO" pwm pins connected to? IE, which pins would I declare as output in the firmware to control servos based on the orientation of the IMU?

Thanks

  • I am trying to connect a servo to ArduPilot Mega v1.4 board for ARDU-PLANE. (This comes with ArduIMU + controller board already soldered). I just want to attach the servos to make it run and nothing else.

I can see the tilting of IMU board in 3-axis makes changes to the yaw, pitch and roll as seen from Mission Planner. I want to use one servos (as a test) to read Pitch values of the plane.

However, the servos do not get activated when connected to OUT1 (APM v1.4) of the board. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to write additonal software to configure anything OR the default ArduPLANE code is enough. Hope the PWM control signal is readily available at this pin ? I am exciting it with a 5V battery supply.

Would appreciate if someone can be kind to answer.

Manual description (http://code.google.com/p/ardupilot-mega/wiki/RC). I am not using RC OR CAMERA right now, but plain board+IMU+servo.

  • The ArduIMU pwm out pins map to Arduino pins 9 and 10. Check the schematic and Google 'Arduino pin mapping'

Not sure I understand the question. You want to control servos directly from ArduIMU? It's not designed for that. You should interface it with ArduPilot, which is designed to drive servos.
