ardupilot and ardu imu.

Hi all

 

While doing some reading for my paper on ardupilot for my degree I have noticed something and just want to clear it up.

 

On the wiki page for the ardupilot it has a link for 'using an IMU instead of thermopiles'. I have read the link and it says you can use the IMU for stabilisation rather than the XYZ thermopiles but then when you go and have a look at the IMU in the diy drones store it says it cannot be used with ardupilot.

 

Which one is correct? Can it be used or can it not be used?

    Thanks Chris. I just wanted to check.

    Would you recommend it then instead of the thermopiles?

    I take it the code is still in beta if it was only released a couple of weeks ago for use with ardupilot?

    Er was that a plug in for other autopilots yet Chris? You know what I mean.

    We enabled the use of the IMU as a thermopile replacement for ArduPilot a few weeks ago. I've updated the store listing accordingly.
