Ardupilot in-flight reboot?

I was just looking through the features of Ardupilot and had not noticed this previously.

"ability to reboot the main processor in mid-flight".

Just curious as to how this is accomplished?

    You toggle the mode switch up and down five times fast. The Attiny will then send a reset command to the Atmega, rebooting the system. Make sure you finish the toggles with the mode switch in manual, so you can control the plane while the autopilot is rebooting. (It takes a few seconds)
