Hello everyone,
looks like nobody else discussed this problem here before, so I'm asking the question:
I'm planning to mount my Ardupilot on a 1.8m wingspan flying wing, however i need the room around the CG for Cameras and batteries and stuff- Is it a problem if the Ardupilot is mounted about 20cm sideways from the Center of gravity? Does anybody have experience with that?

Thank you for your help, the ardupilot is now mounted on the plane!
Hi Martin
I asked this before and I had some positive replies so I tried it on my 1.6m flying wing with the APM mounted about 150cms from the centreline and slightly behind the CG Everything worked OK but its a pain to update the APM with a cable for the firmware..
eventualy my wing crashed (nothing to do with the APM , read pilot error!) and was destroyed, The APM survived undamaged despite a vertical dive at 60mph into the field from 200feet.
. MkII is on the building board and I will keep the layout, works for me! Good luck

No, as far as I know it can be mounted anywhere, mine certainly is not on the CG of the plane.
