I bought an ardupilotmega, 7-8 months ago and installed it on my hand made plane and was working well. (all modes were working properly). 2 weeks ago I had a very bad crash. there is not any sign of damage or defect on the boards. but when I use it with my new model airplane(tl 2000 sting, 28cc gas), it does not work properly. Yesterday I tested it in over 8 flights. in 2 of the flights it was working all right( all modes working) but in the other 6 flights it did not work at all. it is very weird for me that sometimes it works and sometimes doesn't. What's the problem you think? is it possible to be a hardware defect because of that crash?

If you switch over to CLI mode and console connect via USB and the windows APM or whatever method, is it booting up and giving a prompt? are the various "test" menu options appearing to behave properly? Does it "wiggle" the servos after power up? if it appears to be booting ok, and you mode switch to "stabilize" then move the model in your hand do the servos move in opposition?
Obviously it is possible that the crash has done some damage but you have to check how much it is really not working. Perhaps it is getting stuck during boot on one problem sensor due to a bad connection provoked by the crash.
