I tried using OpenLog SD card logger to record onboard tlog files. But I'm getting strange files, not readable by Mission Planner.

Here is what I did:

1. Connected OpenLog to the telemetry port of APM 2.5 (Gnd, +5v, Tx), while telemetry radio was still connected with all 4 wires.

2. Powered the board and played a little with the plane.

3. Got one .tlog file in logs dir on my PC ( recorded by Mission PLanner )

4. Got TXT file from OpenLog SD card, which I expected to be similar to above.

But when I compare files I see, that some "words" are same, but some characters are different. For example, openlog has:

KFF_RDDRMIX ∏ ˛gKFF_THR2PTCH ä.˛@gSTAB_PITCH_DOWN

and "proper" tlog has

KFF_RDDRMIX ∏ Ï+QX˲gKFF_THR2PTCH ä.Ï+QïÒ˛@gSTAB_PITCH_DOWN

Of course, proper tlog file is readable in log player, and tlog's file - not.

Here is my OpenLog cfg file:

57600,26,3,0,1,1,0
baud,escape,esc#,mode,verb,echo,ignoreRX

Any Ideas are welcome. USB port is not accessible on my craft, so I really hope, That OpenLog can record some data

Proper tlog file:

2015-07-03%2001-43-28.tlog.

File from OpenLog:

LOG00231.TXT

  • Tried latest OpenLog firmware. As well as "lite" version with increased buffer - still no luck
