I've been following a few folks working on sense and avoidance systems and I'm convinced that their approach (i.e. an elaborate sense and avoidance system) is overkill. Should the focus not be, especially for FPV, about the overlay of information with your OSD?

I don't program [wish I did], but I'm learning. As I see it, telling others where I am in the sky and describing my bubble in a thoughtful way seems more than enough. 3D could develop something that would allow this information to be conveyed plane-to-plane-to-pilot (via telemetry). I don't know that we need radar. I think what we need to know is where things are and we're we are in the sky.

Any thoughts?
