Arm/Disarm Buzzer

Hi All,

I've enjoyed setting up my new APM2.5 over the last few days and I'm almost ready to go fly, (when I have some daylight hours to do it!). I have got an issue with the buzzer I've installed on pin 5, to give an audible signal when armed and disarmed.  Basically when disarmed it is beeping on and off constantly and when armed it is just a constant beep.

I'm getting the same behaviour whether i'm powering from the USB or from one of my ESCs.  I've got the battery monitor function disabled but it's still happening.  I changed the minimum voltage to 0v in case it was unhappy I'm not running the power module, again no change.

I started with FW 3.0.1 then moved on to 3.1-RC7 but that didn't fix it.

Is it my hardware that is at fault or something wrong with the firmware?  Any chance it can get fixed for the next RC?

Thanks,

Andy.

  • Ahhgh, discovered my problem! Nothing wrong with the firmware or the board, just the doylum setting it up. I carefully counted for pin 5 but forgot the first is pin 0! It's all working fine now.

Thanks Tottero, it was the video at the bottom of the wiki that showed me. Didn't notice the video the last 50 times I looked at the wiki.

    Anyway, thanks for your help.
  • My issue does sound like the low battery fault described at the bottom of that wiki but it says it's fixed in 3.1. I'm running 3.1 but still have the issue. I'm guessing in my case if it's powered by USB or the main battery is irrelevant as I don't have the power module to give it a voltage reading. But I've tried both anyway.

I have LED_MODE set to 'buzzer', is that correct?
  • Hello Andy,
    Pls check http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/nav-leds/

But i think you have to set LED_MODE perameter to make it work!

    Let me know!
