Where I was flying is not that nice (front garden). In the below picture, on the right hand side of the road is the edge of the 40ha plot across the road from me...

You should upgrade to an Okto. Then put 1kg (2 pounds) of concrete under it. Then maybe you get lucky in killing yourself.

I was really shocked seeing your copter comming down on you this fast. To me the copter felt a little bit unstable...maybe caused by wind?
Did your copter loose power?

Looks like you had a dead battery to be honest. They motors did what they were supposed to do, sense the high PWM commands and reduce them automatically (thanks again Tridge) prevent a violent flip. This looks like a goofy wobble on the way down but it prevents the quad landing in a way that breaks a motor or APM board.
