I have not received my system yet, although I have a feeling that while utilizing any of the auto-follow modes, I won't be able to adjust controls like the throttle (for height) while it is autonomously following. I am planning to be using the drone at a fairly low height on very variable terrain and would like the ability to change the height while it is following an individual so as to dodge hills, trees, etc. Anyone out there have a similar situation and possibly a solution?

Yes you can manually alter the flight path temporarily while in auto mode if you choose the right parameter settings.
EDIT: wait, I'm talking about Plane, I don't think this is available in copter.
