I am new to the Forum and was wondering whether the Pixhawk would be suitable for building an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle? Is there another platform that you would recommend instead? Do you know of any project where this have been done?

Maybe you could spoof the GPS signal with the output of a dedicated INS? Handle localization as a dedicated problem vs. trying to mix it in with your flight controller?
What sensors did you plan on using for navigation? Computer Vision/Sonar/DVL/etc?
I'm reading about Pixhawk for this purpose right now. I think I would rather go "fixed wing" than "quad" for simplicity sake.

I'd like to do a vectored thrust torpedo form factor but control surfaces might be more practical.
