Hi all,

After ~300 flights I finally crashed my old plane due to a mid-air battery failure. Not a pretty picture I must tell. But Pixhawk and all peripherals survived

I moved the Pixhawk to a brand new FX-79. loaded the 3.4 and went to the field:

  • did the trimming in manual mode.
  • I turned AUTO_TRIM on and tried to get the trim parameters in to the Pixhawk but it wouldn't record.
  • I have tried AUTOTUNE but the default PIDs were not changed.
  • I have set the TRIM values manually on RC1 and RC2 but they were changed back miraculously to the default.

Can anyone help me what could the problem be?

Should I go back to 3.3?

  • I finally got the AUTO_TRIM thru automatically.

I belive the source of the problem was that I was using ELEVON_MIXING which is deprecated. As soon as I have the disabled that and enabled ELEVON_OUTPUT the the AUTO_TRIM  worked.

Could this be the problem with AUTOTUNE too?
