Bad ESC?

Hey Guys,First, thanks for all the help in this board I really appreciate the help.I have tested all of the ESC and one keeps on giving the beep, 2 sec, beep, 2 sec, beep, etc. telling me it is not receiving a proper signal from the receiver. I plugged the ESC directly into battery and transmitter to rule out the PDB. So then I checked the 3 pin connector to the receiver, and the white wire doesn't seem to be connected to anything inside the ESC. To test this I place one lead from my meter to the power terminal and the other to the 3 pin connector. Got a read on red and black but no white. So then I tried this on the other three "working" ESC and got a read on all three wires. This is a brand new ESC, has anyone else have this problem? Have you ever have a bad ESC straight out if the box?

  • A bad ESC is entirely possible. You could cut the shrink wrap to see if you can fix the issue. It might just be a bad solder joint. If purchased locally you might try to exchange it. If purchased online it might be easier to just order another ESC, especially if purchased from somewhere on the other side of the globe.
