As I am sure we all know vibration reduction is the name of the game now with the new version of the arducopter firmware. I have balanced my props and motors but noticed something interesting happening on one of them when I managed to get it balanced. I have no real way to describe this so check out the video. I have a suspicion but don't want to plant any ideas. All four of the motors I bought at the same time, the three other ones never seem to sing like this one occasionally does.
I can see the vibrations get worse when the sound is rougher.

I crashed my X8 2 weeks ago at 68mph, unknown reasons. Upon a rebuild I spun the motor up and it sounded EXACTLY like yours. I too thought it was a bearing. Going to replace the damn thing. Another 125 bucks gone to this hobby.
Someday, I'll actually get my UAV to FLY, without a crash.
On an after thought, I'm sure it is the bearing. When in manual mode I hold the throttle still, the engine clearly can not hold throttle steady. I assume this is from the bearing binding, then unbinding thus making the RPM fluctuate even when the signal is steady.
bearing issue i believe.
