Baro issues i think ???

Hey there APM community.

I have had an APM for quite a while now and no issues.

However now, in ALT hold or Loiter the Quad seems to be hunting to hold ALT over a range of +/- 1mtr or so. Its kind of an oscillation.

In an effort to find the issue as opposed to whinging here i ran a vibration test in stabilize mode as advised by the manuals. X,Y and Z vibration levels are within limits described by the manuals.

So here i post some data in the hope of someone smarter than me can provide a clue.....

  • Have you checked to make sure you have the barometer properly covered and not subject to either light or prop wash?

    • Hey Rick,

its a genuine 3dr APM2.6 so the baro lives inside the plastic case. The APM is also

buried with the frame of the Quadcopter so doesnt see direct propwash.

      thanks for your reply.

FYI my compass and GPS are all good.

  • FYI Green is GPS Alt and Red is Baro.

The GPS and Baro seem to follow one another as you would expect.

The GPS data is smooth but the Baro looks very noisy.

    Thoughts ?
