Hello everybody,
I plan to build a UAV for environmental monitoring, so came a question. What is currently the best fixed-wing airframe, considering the following aspects: payload of up to 3kg, stability, manual launch.
Thanks a lot!

3kg is a huge payload for hand launching, you will probably need a 9kg airframe for it to have any endurance. For that reason you won't have a simple manual launch. Bring the payload down to 1 1-5 kg if you want simple launches. That said you could make a light weight built up wing conventional glider type airframe but then transport starts becoming an issue. Its a balancing act.
Sorry,
I mean total weight, including airframe.
