I was wondering if someone could help explain the Geo-tagging and what the best approach for this would be. I have done some research and found both advice referring to cameras with GPS and without GPS. Now some say that the accuracy of the camera GPS's are bad and should not be trusted. I was wondering what the best approach would be to getting pictures with in 5m accuracy.
If the best option is to not get a GPS camera how are people able to then tag them to a KML file and place them on Google earth?
Thanks for all the help

Aloha,
I don't claim to be an expert on this, but from my experience the GPS built into the Cameras are usually not as good a quality (for position fix) as the GPS from the UAV. I am using a commercial UAV (senefly eBee) rather then a DIY, but have observed better positional accuracy from the Onboard GPS compared to images taken from a camera with GPS. I think your best bet is to use a Cannon Camera that has CHDK so you can record the photo times via the Flight Recorder log and use that to sync with the craft's GPS.
Here is a link to a PIX4D knowledge base document that can help if using NAZA FC

And a link if you have a Flytrex recorder:

Good luck.
