I am curious where is the best place to buy an Arducopter? I assume Jdrones but are their issues with them being on the other side of the world? What is a typical delivery time?

There are a number of great stores, you'll see a partial list local stores in the members navigation item above
Not all of the stores offer full kits, some offer preassembled.
As to jDrones and delivery, I often order from jDrones and I have even gotten a jDrones order faster than from DIYdrones for a US order placed at the same time (once, because I missed the delivery guy, but that is how close it was.)

The biggest issue with any store is finding all the parts in stock. Backorder will impact your delivery more than any other factor. Well, that, or ordering something from Hobbyking ;) That is a different world, with its own physics laws.
