Blimpduino with GPS waypoints?

Hi all, I'm new to Diy Drones so please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong section, but I was wondering if it would be possible to integrate gps, and gps based control into Blimpduino, as I think it would be very good for aerial photography being slow and all.

I have knowledge on how to build a larger blimp for outdoor use but would love to have gps much like ArduPilot has, or would it be easier to convert a ArduPilot board to use for a blimp?

May it be easier to adapt stabilization control from the ArduPilot than the ArduBlimp for out door use?
