Bootloader flash - myths and reality.

Hi,

Is it real to flash bootloader on glitched APM2.6 with inbuilt USB connection?

DFU mode - functional,

PPM encoder - flashed (was empty when I last checked),

Firmware flashes via MP - OK, but doesn't boot.

My guess is bootloader got busted.

Any ideas?

  • I guess, I have to answer myself.

Due to accidental +5v applied to SPI port, 3.3v power regulator been blown up.

I've just found alternative one and soldiered it on 3.3v pin of i2c bus connector.

    Everything works perfect.

At meantime I also flashed new version of ppm encoder (which was not present at all 0_o). At lease Flip reads said so.

Well it was not totally necessary, but it did no harm either.

Well, the story goes on. I've connected with Putty directly to COM12 port and terminal gave me this:

    Init ArduCopter V3.2.1 (36b405fb)

    Free RAM: 1999
    FW Ver: 120
    ----------------------------------------

    load_all took 34736us
PANIC: AP_Baro_MS5611 took more than 1000ms to initialize

Apparently there's something wrong with baro or the circuit that powers it up.
