Attached is a very small tlog of a situation I have with an APM2.0. I have two servo's connected to A10 and A11, one for tilt and the other for shutter. JP1 is connected and the ESC's are providing a stable 4.71V to the APM (a little low but within limits). Tx/Rx is Hitec Aurora 9/Optima 7.
If I operate the shutter servo all the inputs from the Rx do a 'flatline' i.e. do not get registered any more. The APM seems fine, Status tab in the Mission Planner shows everything active (except Ch1-8 IN), there's no sign of a brownout, no sign of Vcc changing, all LED's are correct and no other outward sign of anything wrong except that the PWM signals from the Rx are just not seen or registered any more. An additional servo to the Rx is fine, working 100%, so the Rx is good. Failsafe on APM is not registered either.
So basically a crash or fly-away would occur if the copter flew like this!
I know that it's recommended to power Gimbal servo's from an independant power source, but if not this situation is potentially very dangerous?
