Ok, so here's what I'm going with:
Tilt servo: https://secure.robotshop.com/hitec-hs755mg-servo.html
Pan servo: https://secure.robotshop.com/hitec-hs785hb-servo-motor.html
Housing: http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11_27&products_id=96 (no servos)
$66
Servo controller: http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1350
$20
The antenna is going to be a 15db dual polarized yagi, should be easy to make, long range, and have a beam-width of 30degrees.
So my main questions are about the servos, am I getting ones that'll be strong enough? Are the overkill? I'm especially concerned about the pan servo. Does it need to be 180, or 360 degrees?
Thanks for the help!

I found the same pololu usb servo controller Ive got on laying around.
I designed a pan tilt head for a camera. http://www.qsl.net/kj6dzb/Robots/rovebot.html If the servos can move the weight one could put a yagi for 2.4ghz or a 430mhz 2or 3 element yagi. Any thing lower will start to get a bit bigger.
