I have read somewhere that on APM 2.5 there is the option to wire in a buzzer or similar to notify when the motors are armed.
Having looked I can't find the link.
Ideally I would like the a buzzer to produce a short "beep" every 5 seconds for example when the HexaCopter is on the ground only, ie < 1 meter in altitude. Once in the air, the beep stops. I look upon this as a safety feature.
Has anyone done anything like this ?
Thank you for any input,
Steve

Yes, there is a beeper output, and it is enabled by default I believe. It's been a while since I looked at that, but I think it's on AN5?
What you propose actually makes a lot of sense. Any time it's armed on the ground, it beeps on a 2 second interval. Sort of like a warning that this thing is "live". Then, shut it off above 2m. When you come back down, it will start beeping at 2m again, sort of like a warning to anybody around.
Sort of like a truck backup beeper.
